Sunseeker confirmed as main sponsor of Poole Harbour Boat Show 2017

Sunseeker has been confirmed as the main sponsor for next year’s Poole Harbour Boat Show which takes place from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st May 2017. This will be the third year the British luxury motor yacht manufacturer has supported the south coast’s biggest-ever free to attend boat show.

Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC), organisers of the award-winning event, are pleased to welcome back the prestigious sponsor which is one of the town’s largest employers. Through its sponsorship the firm will be providing the ‘Sunseeker Sessions’ live music stage. The stage is set to be a central feature at the event, showcasing great British performance with musical talent from across the region.

Sibbett Gregory, Elite Signs, Bournemouth Colour Print and Bates Wharf have so far pledged their support for the boat show which will be held on Poole Quay and at PHC’s award-winning marina Poole Quay Boat Haven. Bryan Jones, marketing manager for Sunseeker, said: “Now in its third year, the Poole Harbour Boat Show

is becoming a well-established event and with next year’s show coinciding with Poole hosting European Maritime Day, we were keen to be involved.

“Being Dorset-based we are delighted to be part of this exciting show and look forward to delivering an incredible selection of live music on the ‘Sunseeker Sessions’ stage across the three days. Previous acts have been remarkable and of an exceedingly high quality. I would encourage all visitors to come and enjoy some great music whilst enjoying everything the boat show has to offer.”

It will be the first time the UK has hosted European Maritime Day (EMD) with more than 1,000 maritime professionals from around the world heading to Poole for a conference and exhibition.

Jim Stewart, Poole Harbour Commissioners’ chief executive, added: “We’re thrilled to have Sunseeker as a sponsor for a third year and wish to thank them for their continued support. 2017 will be a big year for Poole, it’s a great opportunity for the town to host EMD and promote Poole’s maritime heritage.

“The boat market continues to be robust and this is testament to the quality of manufacturing provided by the marine industry. Next year’s boat show will highlight the marine industry and will be the basis for the family festival element of the European Maritime Day event.”
