The Nauti Buoys chart their course for Poole Harbour

We are delighted to be able to confirm that the Nauti Buoys will be at the Poole Harbour Boat Show in association with Sunseeker from Friday 8th - 10th June.

Only a few daring individuals have completed an Atlantic crossing in a rowing boat, in fact more have climbed Everest or entered into space. It is therefore no surprise that the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge is one of the toughest feats of physical and mental endurance known to man.

The Nauti Buoys have dared to take on this challenge, and will be racing 3,000 miles from La Gormera to Antigua in December 2018. Their goal is to win this epic race, whilst challenging the world record for the fastest Atlantic crossing, which currently stands at 29 days.

In doing so, the Buoys are raising funds for Cancer Research UK, a cause close to all of their hearts, whose work has an incredible impact on an international scale. One in every three people will be affected by cancer at some point in their lives and it is a harsh reality that most people will witness the devastating effect of this disease first hand as it impacts the lives of a friend or loved one. The Nauti Buoys are no different and all have relatives who’ve been diagnosed with cancer. Some have managed to overcome the disease, whilst others have unfortunately not been as lucky.

Cancer continues to be one of the most prevalent healthcare issues of our time, which made it an obvious cause to shortlist for the team's fundraising efforts across their Atlantic campaign.

The Nauti Buoys are extremely excited to be involved in the Poole Boat Show and will be exhibiting their purpose built ocean rowing vessel “Mrs. Nelson”, a boat that has previously completed 3 highly successful ocean crossings in her time.

Hector, Matt, Nick and Paul will be on hand for the Poole Boat Show to answer any questions you may have about ocean rowing, provide full guided tours of Mrs. Nelson and of course fundraise for Cancer Research UK, so do be sure to stop by and say hello!

The Poole Harbour Boat Show in association with Sunseeker is free to attend and open between 10:00 to 18:00 on 8th to 10th June 2018.

The Poole Harbour Boat Show is being supported by Sunseeker, Sibbett Gregory, Coleman Insurance, Conker Spirit, Elite Signs, Greenslade Pleasure Boats, Dorset Cruises, Lester Aldridge, PKF Francis Clark, British Marine Wessex, MS Amlin, MAC Marine Claims, Designosaur, Brittany Ferries and media partners Bournemouth Daily Echo and Wave 105.

Limited exhibitor opportunities are still available for the 2018 show, for further details of how to get involved contact us on info@pooleharbourboatshow.co.uk or by calling 01202 649488.
